Belle started off the month of July with a sitter for one week. I am sure that she was very happy there, as there were two other dogs in the home. She also had the opportunity to visit old friends at the day sitter.
Belle had many water experiences this month. First, an afternoon boating on Okanagan Lake with new people and lots of children. She mostly hung out on the deck, but with encouragement, she had a quick dip in the lake.
After several previews on land, Belle went for her first kayak ride on the water. After getting out of the boat, she walked with me into the water until she was in deep enough to swim.
Hopefully, with another month of hot weather in front of us, she will have more water experiences.
As I had to bring my granddaughters to the community pool for swimming lessons, Belle was able to practise her developing skills in this new, noisy environment with lots of distractions. She was a star!! Belle is always eager to train and catches on to new skills quickly.
Another major development this month was the loss of her baby teeth.
