With the warmer weather, Belle has returned to training outdoors more frequently. She has enjoyed both on-leash and off-leash walks, both on her own and with other dogs. She enjoys walking along Mission Creek, where she encounters many other dogs. She gets to watch ducks on the river, and geese fly overhead. She is passed by walkers and joggers, cyclists and people pushing baby strollers. She even had the opportunity to visit the river.
Belle’s greatest accomplishment this month was attending a family funeral. She lay quietly at my feet throughout the ceremony, at the reception, and at the gravesite. She remained down while children gently visited with her. I was so impressed by her behaviour.
