When I first arrived at my in-between-house in Calgary, waiting for one of those coveted advanced training spots, I was very afraid of the downtown. I did not like the C-trains, and I did not like the grates, and I did not like the crowds of people. But now I am the king of Stephen Avenue, a downtown doggie pro. I spend my days in the courthouse or Bankers Hall, and I am a very popular boy. I am so good at on-leash walking. I am so not great at my recall (but we’re working on it).
