This pupdate is a big oneโ€”my last one from my puppy-raising stage! The humans call this a bittersweet goodbye to my puppy-raising family and a big hello to my advanced trainer (Evelyn) and advanced sitter (Stephanie).

I think what they mean by bittersweet is that there were lots of tearsโ€ฆ but also plenty of smiles. They told me theyโ€™re proud of me, and know Iโ€™m going to make a huge difference in the lives I touch. But theyโ€™re also sad because theyโ€™re going to miss me. I was their first puppy to raise as a service dog in training. I know they wonโ€™t ever forget me, and I think Iโ€™ll miss them too.

THANKFULLY, my advanced sitter is amazingโ€”and she comes with lots of built-in dog friends to play and run with! So, Iโ€™m pretty thrilled. You know how I used to have cuddle puddles with the little humans on movie nights? Now I get to join dog cuddle puddles!

I had an incredible last month with my raisers. They took me on a mini tour of Alberta before my transition! I visited Red Deer and Edmonton, exploring new places, learning new things, and having the best time. Itโ€™s amazingโ€”after almost two years of living, there are still so many new experiences to have! The pictures do a better job of capturing my adventures than words ever could. My ability to stay out and about with my family is amazing. I am patient and can settle well in so many settings (even when Iโ€™m out with my family for Japanese BBQ!), and I know this skill will be helpful in the years ahead.

Stay tunedโ€”I canโ€™t wait to share updates from my next phase of training!

Until next month,
Blair
