June was Pride Month! I got together with my Campus Canines UBC besties for a photoshoot to show our support for the LGBTQ2+ community. Not to get confused with my handsome brother Gaffer, I am the baby puppy on the right side of the photo.

I got a few new experiences this month! The first was a trip to the airport. Although I didn’t get to go on a plane, I got to practice settling in a busy area and try out the animal relief area. The best part was bringing one of the hoomans home with us! June is the end of the year for many sports and schools, which meant I got to attend a few parties. The first was for my hoomans work. I got to go celebrate her students and watch the awards ceremony. And then a few weeks later, my Great Great Grandpaw, AFD PADS Robbie, invited me to attend his school’s end-of-year party. I had so much fun meeting all his students and trying out the agility course.

June brought the start of summer, which meant lots of outdoor time! With the streams starting to slow down and lower, it was important to get one last mud bath in! The hooman was not impressed, but I had so much fun with my housemate Taj. I also got to celebrate the start of summer with my Campus Canines UBC buddies, and Uncle Bill got a great photo of me running on the beach! The hooman and Taj both enjoy getting out on the water, so I got to try this thing called paddle boarding. I quickly learned that you cannot walk on water, but after that, I managed to get in a little snooze while we floated around Deep Cove. Once I get more comfortable, I will get to travel farther!

June was a very fun month. Rest assured, I am doing well with my skills and house manners. Next up will be my 4-month walk and talk next month!
