Blazer spent the month getting to know our senior foster cats. While he was quite excited to make their acquaintance when they arrived, the cats were much more cautious about getting to know him. I don’t think they will ever be best friends, but they’ve all learned to co-exist peacefully.

With the weather warming up, Blazer’s walks are a bit more distracting for him with the smells, sights and sounds of spring in the air. The temptation to chase hares, magpies and squirrels is real, but he manages to make good choices most of the time. He also joined me on outings to grocery stores and the library and to vote in the federal election.

April ended with Bill Brown’s Birthday Bash in support of PADS. Blazer and his PADS friends Rosa, Sokka, Link, Bowden and Chet filled the puppy lounge with people who wanted to pet and cuddle the pups. They were a big hit and handled the high-energy bustle very well.
