Blazer is one! He watched me make and decorate his cake with all his favourite things – peanut butter, greek yogurt, applesauce and carrots and acted as quality control by sampling the ingredients. He couldn’t believe it when I finished and stashed it away in the fridge for him to eat later, but in the end, he was very happy to finally get to eat a piece. The weather was so cold on his birthday that he wasn’t able to celebrate with his friends, but he ate cake all week, so I don’t think he was too upset about it.

With the return of the cold weather, it was a little tough to get him out for daily activity. We tried boots so that he could go a bit longer, but he absolutely was not having any of that! So we had a lot of indoor enrichment activities going on, and he spent some time on the treadmill getting his walk on. The rest of his days were spent working on his off-switch, which has shown much improvement.

We did get out on a few trips to the library, Home Depot, Dairy Queen and Superstore, where he showed everyone what a good boy he is.
