Blazer had a busy month of PADS field trips and outings with us. He is always ready and raring to go whether in cape or out of it.
We spent a day at my parents’ home out of town, which is always a favourite of Blazer’s. He romped through snow that was much deeper and fluffier than we had at home. My mom had a few new toys for him, which made her his favourite person. She clinched that by feeding him some lettuce while making a salad.
He accompanied us to the grocery store, Memory Express, the library and a first-time trip to a movie theatre where he nailed his off-switch. The highlight of the movie for him was the popcorn treats he received for behaving so well. Blazer also went on a couple of doggie play dates and is getting better at walking nicely with another dog before arriving at the park for some playtime.
Blazer had a number of PADS field trips this month, which helped him with dogs and other distractions in public settings. He went to The Home Depot, Cabela’s and Canadian Tire. He did exceptionally well, and I was very pleased. He has, however, gained the title of class clown at puppy class because of his silly antics whenever plastic props such as perch pots and pylons come out. It’s hard not to laugh, and he loves it when people do.
