We were away for the first couple of weeks of September, which gave Blazer the opportunity to stay with a sitter. He had a great time experiencing new things with a new person and adapted to the changes very well.

Blazer had a few outings with a couple of his PADS buddies this month to work on his neutrality around other dogs in public places. We went to the Calgary Farmersโ€™ Market West and the Foothills Medical Centre. It was tough for him to lay under a table at the Farmersโ€™ Market when two of his buds were right next to him, and he wasnโ€™t allowed to play with them, but he did remarkably well. At the Foothills Medical Centre, Blazer was able to work on his heels and sides beside a wheelchair and showed off his skill at backing up. After working on some things inside, he was happy to finally get a bit of off-leash time with PADS Astro and Morley. There was much frolicking and many treats, and when he got home, much napping.

Blazerโ€™s other outings included grocery stores and the library. Heโ€™s working on his excitement levels when greeting people when weโ€™re out and about, which is challenging when youโ€™re a friendly puppy who wants to meet everyone.
