While it may be officially spring, it’s still snow season in Calgary, so Brinks has been waiting impatiently to hit the local parks with his advanced training friends. While we wait for better weather to arrive, we have been working hard on public access test scenarios and many field trips to places like the pet store so he can better generalize his learning for when he is out and about. On top of tricky tasks like doing “go in” with food on the floor, Brinks has been sharpening his obedience skills and is an enthusiastic learner. He shows that he is happy to ‘work’ for anyone who has treats with them or a happy clap for his joyful parading around with items in his mouth.

  • Skills being learned: body targeting, chin targeting, listening even when he is playing with friends
  • Recent field trips: Homes Alive Pet store, Chinook Centre, Calgary Outdoor Show
  • Possible behavior challenges: Can be concerned about different surfaces
  • Advanced training location: Calgary

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Brinks!
