This month brought lots of settling while the human studied, an easter photoshoot, plenty of trail walks and puppy play dates, and a few nights spent with a sitter (for which I was wonderful, of course).
At the beginning of April, I dressed up as the cutest bunny to ‘celebrate’ easter. That’s basically all we did to celebrate, but according to the human, it was definitely worth it.
We made a trip to Ikea so the human could get a desk chair (and make sure that I would fit comfortably under it so I could practice my “go-in”). I showed off some phenomenal loose leash walking, had no problem settling at the register, and was fantastic in the car, to no one’s surprise.
We went on a ton of sniffy walks around campus in between studying sessions, hung out with my friend PADS Casper a few times, and did some photoshoots for the Campus Canines exec team!
I’ve nearly perfected a few different skills, tried out a new exercise, worked a LOT on settling around other dogs and being okay walking with them without playing, and was the happiest pup and puppy class showing off all my skills.
And… drum roll please… I got over my fear of water and went belly deep at the beach!! I’d been a few times with my friends, watched Taj and Casper go for a swim, but never followed. Once again, I was there with Taj, he went in, and I waited patiently for him to return to land, but once the humans went in? Game over. I didn’t think twice when one of the humans called me in! I wasn’t scared at all and went in and out happily until the humans got too cold. We have many plans to go back once the weather gets even warmer.
April was mostly sleeping and ‘helping’ the human study, with the most fun outings thrown in! Couldn’t have asked for a better month. I am so so ready for summer!
