Hi friends!

June has been busy and exciting for me! It started out not so fun with recovering from kennel cough, but I quickly got better and was finally free to see my puppy friends and go on trail walks again.

I went to my best furrend Taj’s birthday party and had so much fun with the other puppies and all the humans. We even got to eat special puppy popsicles!

I also went on lots of outings to the beach this month. I love running around in the sand looking for fun treasures on the beach. I also learned that I can swim! I ventured out beyond where I could touch in the ocean, and we discovered that I’m a very good swimmer!

I’ve been working on my cues and manners again this month. I’ve started learning a new skill called “heel” and I’ve worked a lot on my “stand” cue. I’ve also been adding duration to lots of my cues.

Something very exciting happened this month! I went on my first-ever flight! I have never experienced anything quite like that, but I rocked it! I was very good at the airport. I was great at ignoring the many distractions, even when mom left me in a down, walked through a weird machine and called me through after her. I practiced lots of nice loose-leash walking in the airport as well. Once we got on the plane, I quickly fell asleep. Mom had to wake me up, but I didn’t mind because she gave me tons of kibble while the plane took off. After that, I just fell back asleep and took a nice long nap for the rest of the 3-hour flight. I didn’t mind the loud noises or weird vibrations at all!

I then made a new puppy friend, Koda, and spent a week staying with him and my raiser’s family. I had lots of fun playing with Koda, and we immediately became besties. I also got to swim in a pool for the first time! I loved it and happily swam around with the humans. Koda and I went to a cottage as well where we both went on a boat for the first time! We were so good and brave and got lots of treatos which made the experience pretty great. I enjoyed sunbathing on the dock, and mom took me paddle boarding with her! I think I looked pretty handsome in my blue life jacket!

Then at the end of the month, I took another flight back to Vancouver, and I did great once again! I just slept for most of the flight and was totally unbothered by the unusual experience.

I’m excited for more summer adventures and lots of puppy play dates to come in July!
