Hi friends!

This month has been so much fun and has come with some big changes! At the beginning of the month, my human brought a little puppy into our apartment. I thought this was pretty cool since I love playing with other dogs. But then, guess what… the puppy stayed! So now, I have an adorable little roomie living with me. His name is Gaffer and he is a PADS dog in training just like me. I’ve been mentoring him and teaching him all the important things like playing bitey face and tug of war, and I’ve been by his side as he learned to settle in his kennel. I’ve also been working on my FOMO, as I sometimes start to whine when I’m not part of the action with other dogs. I’ve been getting a lot better with this, so it seems the puppy is helping me with my training just like I’m helping him!

I’ve been going on some nice trail walks and beach outings with my human, and sometimes with my dog friends, which is always fun! Gaffer and I also went on an adventure to a pizza shop and lighthouse. The silly humans insisted on carrying baby Gaffy in a backpack because he wasn’t fully vaccinated. I’m so glad I wasn’t stuck in a bag and got to run around with my buddy Taj.

I got to be part of my human’s special day this month and show off just how mature and well-behaved I have become. I accompanied my raiser to her graduation ceremony! I was a perfect boy for the whole ceremony. I was very patient while all the graduates got ready in their regalia and walked nicely with my human to find our seats. I settled in a pretty small area at my human’s feet for 1.5 hours, then came our big moment. I walked with my human across the stage and posed for pictures with her. To make things even more adorable, I wore a bow tie to match my human’s hood, and my very own grad cap. I then joined my raiser and the other PADS puppies she had raised to take some photos. It was a great day for both of us, and I needed a long nap after all that!

In terms of my training this month, I’ve been working on polishing some of my skills and doing some body conditioning by working on perfecting my sit and down postures, and body awareness by backing up to a surface and more! I’m very smart and motivated to work for my food!

Can’t wait to see what awaits me next month!
