Cliff accompanied me to a number of places in March such as Costco, the library, grocery stores, a bakery or two, and restaurants. He attracts attention wherever we go together because he is so well-behaved. He made a few trips with me to my parents’ home in Didsbury where he spent time running through the pristine snow in their enormous backyard. By the time we left, the snow was no longer footprint-free, and he was tired enough that he slept in the car all the way home.

The latter part of the month he spent recovering from neuter surgery so there were fewer outings and less activity. He spent his recovery days basking in sunbeams, napping, and gnawing on a treat-filled Kong. We also took the opportunity to have him sleep in his dog bed on the floor of our bedroom since his cone was too large to fit comfortably in his kennel. He has been really good at staying in his bed through the night until we get up.

Toward the end of his recovery period, Cliff came with me to the car dealership for an oil change. They were so happy to have him there that they requested a picture of him with one of the cars in the showroom. He posed so nicely for the picture, that they posted it to their Instagram and Facebook pages.
