DENNISย enteredย advanced training this month and has joined Acorn on Vancouver Island. The boys are working with an experienced advanced training volunteer, polishing all their basics and practicing working in a new environment with novel handlers.ย Dennis particularly enjoys walks on the beach outside his sitterโs home! Dennis was showing signs of possible kennel cough, so he has been laying low for the last while so he can get better and return to more active training exercises!ย ย
- Skills being learned:ย Working on basic obedience skills, building durations, engage/disengage,ย BATย
- Recent field trips:ย New Westminster Quay, Trout Lake, ferry ride to Vancouver Islandย (Field trips were put on hold once he showed signs of kennel cough)ย
- Possible behavior challenges:ย Interest in fast moving objects (birds, balls,ย etc.), dog distraction, bodyย sensitivityย ย
