June has been an exciting month, andΒ DerbyΒ is getting into the most exciting part of advanced training. Now that she has the basics under her belt, she’s been moving on to the fun skills in new places. We are also taking advantage of the warmer weather and enjoying taking training on the road to outdoor locations like downtown Calgary and off-leash areas. Of course, when you are at the park, it can’t be all work, so there are plenty of play breaks with her training mates Vista and Moriah.
- Skills being learned:Β Retrieving, Button, carrying objects, wheelchair skills
- Recent field trips: Downtown Calgary, Marlborough Mall, Petland
- Possible behavior challenges:Β She can be concerned about fast-moving people closing space on her.
