Hi Gang,
Boy, July has been a hot month in the Okanagan! We have had to cancel our puppy classes so far because of the extreme heat. Looking forward to getting back to class this week.
I had another visit to the vet to get my 16-week shots, and they were very impressed with how much I had grown. I now weigh 35 pounds. I am getting to be so big that I needed a new collar and a new kennel for my bed upstairs. I still sleep perfectly through the night, though my people say I snore. Imagine! It was hard for my dad to carry me up the stairs and down, but he is very proud of me as I am going up and down on my own, though he still uses the lead going down. I also have a downstairs kennel where I love to hang out with my toys.
Also, I’m learning to swim in the pool because it is so hot. Used a life vest the first time, but I am a Lab for goodness sake, so I won’t need that for long. I’ve also found a cool spot in the kitchen in front of the a/c vent. Yay!
I also got a brand-new harness to match my collar and a new lead. It’s a bit big on me now, but I will grow into it, and my folks say that it makes walking with me easier. It’s very spiffy. They also say I am very hard on my toys, but hey I am teething and have four new teeth.
I’ll keep you posted on what happens next.
