June was a busy month for Dior.

Playdates with brother PADS Dolce, big dog playdate with 4 older PADS boys, discovering Sunnyside Urban Forest and its wonderful smells.

Her big adventure was a WestJet trip from Vancouver to Edmonton. We had practiced small space duration for 2 weeks leading up to the trip. The extreme pitch of noise on takeoff and landing was a challenge for her. On the way home, Dior did her best to ignore a hissing cat in a carrier under the seat behind us. She travelled well for the 1 1/2 hr car ride from Edmonton airport to Drayton Valley. A close sighting of a deer had her quite puzzled. She stood quietly and watched it for about 3 minutes until the deer wandered away.

Dior is continuing to learn all things ‘verbal cues’. A curious stubborn streak has appeared when being asked to ‘trade’ if she has something she shouldn’t have. She will check to see what I have in my hand to trade and decide if it’s worth it or not.

Dior continues to love to cuddle, play tug-a-war, be close to her people, go for sniff walks, gnaw her Benebone, eat flowers…

She is a chill, relaxed pup in the house and malls and stores though the presence of another dog can challenge that.

Although she is not a fan, moving to a Gentle Leader/Halty has improved her LLW, reduced her scavenging, and helped to redirect her when the presence of another dog proves to be a little too much.
