Dior began October, with the addition of 8-week-old PADS Spyro to the family. Life as she had known it, came to an abrupt and screeching halt. The need to be on constant call for puppy BG training and not being able to leave the puppy kenneled for more than a very short time meant that getting Dior out and about has been challenging. While she has enjoyed the ongoing play time interspersed with many naps, she has struggled with the extra confinement that came with the first few weeks of her new canine partner. Indoor games became the norm with the Really, Real Relaxation game the favorite of both Dior & Spyro.

In spite of the restrictions, Dior was able to accompany me to a live theatre performance while we were able to get an evening sit for Spyro. We also managed to get in a romp and roll at an off-leash park with her buddy PADS Luigi twice, and an outing to Potters by creating a puppy pouch for the little Mister. We finished off October with a field trip to BC Ambulance in Burnaby. Dior was very interested in the ambulance, and its interior and didn’t blink an eye at the lights or siren being activated.

We have high hopes for getting a back-to-business training schedule in place for Dior by mid-November, more out-and-about with her raiser and some field trips to make up for her patience with the October schedule change.

Dior, ya done good!!
