Hi Folks! I’m Doane, and earlier this month, I arrived in Calgary with my sister, Shelby, and we started our puppy-raising journey with our raisers. We have already had one play date, which was a lot of fun, although our raisers said we sounded like T-Rex’s while playing.
I have been busy since I arrived – I’m learning to make friends with Oscar the cat (he is not a fan of my razor-sharp teeth), I have been on a few outings to buy plants and to my hooman brother’s hockey games. I get a lot of ‘oh he’s so cute’ when I’m out. But more importantly, I’m learning that my raiser has a bait bag with food, and when I listen and do what I’m asked, I get rewarded! Seems like a good deal to me!
I am working on my sit (which I have figured out), down (still working on verbal for that), perch, loose-leash walking and name game.
