Boy, oh boy, was April a busy month for me! I met my puppy raisers and began to learn what life is like without my mom, sisters and breeder caretaker. Apparently, my sisters travelled further away with their raisers, but everyone else is still close by, including my dad, so I’ll get to meet them again once I settle in here. So far, here are a few observations about my new home:
- These people really love to watch me sleep.
- Lots of dogs must’ve lived here before me because there are so many delicious pre-chewed bones.
- A guy cannot do anything without the pawparazzi appearing. The raisers say that I have a lot of things that I’ll be learning, and so far, I’ve had to do so much thinking.
Over this first week, I’ve gone to the coffee shop twice with my friend PADS Tesla, where I practiced settling under the table, it just so happened that these days were the scheduled power washing days so I got to practice napping with a noisy backtrack, I sniffed and climbed my way through a quiet patch of forest with Tesla and released PADS Folie, practiced riding in the car (it’s graduallyyyyy growing on me), met my new mentor released PADS Taj and slept, slept, slept. Apparently, a lot of my learning happens as I nap, so the raisers have made it their priority for me to get as much sleep as possible in my kennel, in the car, on a bed, on the floor, everywhere! When I’m not sleeping or adventuring, we’ve been playing and eating lots and lots.
There’s lots on my calendar for May, and I can’t wait for more cuddles and kibble!
