Hi, Everyone,

Wow, May! Where did it go? I’ve been so busy that the time just flew by. Don’t look now, but I’m already 10 months old, and my world is full of living and learning…with a few sparks of teenage passion thrown in to keep everyone on their toes.

On a happy note: No growing pains this month, phew! I made up for lost time in the great outdoors, tweaking my fitness, decompression and confidence. I’m definitely spoiled for choice with Pacific Spirit Park, Camoson Bog and a bazillion great parks on my doorstep. So, I took full advantage nearly every day to snuffle and work out the kinks. But the MOST FUN? My off-leash Trail Walk with classmate PADS Mickey, Instructor Chelsea & her beauty Ritz and, yippee, a Pool Party at my house with (ta-da!) Mickey, again. Thanks for the companionship, Mickey & Ritz!

For public access practice, I attended a White Caps game, where I strolled the busy concourse, then, settled in the PADS Booth to greet the happy Half-Time CRUSH of fans. I have to say, even in the crush, the kids & I were very gentle and well-behaved. O! And I rode the bus home because a power outage at the parking garage trapped our car inside overnight. Talk about expecting the unexpected! Also, I cruised the aisles and waited in line at an especially jam-packed Costco and did an especially dark Go-In under a table at Brown’s Social House (well, not very social for me.)

Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time walking along busy West Broadway & all around Wesbrook Village, where the sidewalks get crowded, the distractions are brilliant and dogs constantly appear out of nowhere. Perfect spots to work on dog distraction and DMT response! Also, with the help of my Friend Tessa the Spaniel, I’ve been practicing my Parallel LLWalking once a week. I’m happy to report that we walk very nicely side-by-side. It’s the initial greet that sometimes gets the better of me, but the second we get moving, I’m as cool as a cucumber. Plus, I’m doing lots of Ghost Walking through the parks on my long line most evenings – so relaxing!

Thank you so much for checking up on me. In June, I’m going to the Aquarium with my classmates and also (yippee) for a Sleepover at Special PADS Person Benita’s. Also, I’ll be visiting the Barn with FP Susan, of course. So, I’ll have lots to tell you next time. Until then, be gentle in the crush!
