Long time no talk, village!
The first part of this year has been a bit of an uphill climb, trying to set me up for success. In February, the trainer humans decided that a cape break was necessary to ensure I could control my emotions and big feelings. This meant I spent time with a fellow raiser in Vancouver, exploring the big city and checking out new trails. If we are being honest, there wasn’t much difference in my behaviour – just the same old spicy me! That said, my human was happy for a break, and we both felt recharged to tackle life’s challenges together.
Shortly after returning, the human had something come up, and I spent some time exploring the Fraser Valley with a sitter and her lovely family. All these changes in environments are teaching me to be a bit more flexible and expanding my skills in new ways.
I’ve been keeping up my skills and learning lots of new things in puppy class. That is when I’m not losing my mind! Human is super impressed because she says she is slowly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and things are trending in the right direction. It isn’t all work, as we always manage to find a nice trail or two and spend some time in the fresh air on the weekends.
