This month, Fraser III worked really hard on building his formal retrieve. It is coming along nicely! He continues to be the best boy in public and really enjoys working. All his skills are coming together beautifully, and we are excited to share that Fraser has chosen a job! He has told us that he wants to be a mobility service dog – he has such a pleasant disposition and energy for it – and he loves all that the job entails! We have been going on many specific field trips this month to ensure that Fraser is comfortable with job-specific situations. Fraser continues to enjoy playing with the other dogs in advanced training and has spent the month with his trainer on his days off while his advanced sitter is on vacation. He gets to watch agility on the weekends and go for some long off-leash walks with the other dogs.

  • Skills being Learned: Retrieving, opening/closing doors, movement skills, bracing cues and body targets
  • Recent Field Trips: West Edmonton Mall, PetSmart, IKEA, St Albert Mall, Home Depot
  • Possible Behaviour Challenges: Body sensitivity, motivated by other dogs
  • Advanced Training Location: Calgary

We’re so grateful for your support of Advanced Dog Fraser III!
