The month of May was a fantastic month for Furrow and me. He is 14 months old and has matured a lot in the last couple of months. On May 4th, Furrow and I went to the Spring Blooms Celebration at Deer Lake Park. It was a beautiful sunny day with live entertainment, activities for kids, lots of food trucks, and beautiful scenery. Furrow enjoyed being amongst all the people and kids, appreciating the warm sunshine and the fresh breeze blowing in from the lake. We walked around the beautiful flower gardens, enjoying the different varieties of flowers and an array of colours. We also walked around the park, looking at all the art and educational displays, we found areas of shade offered by the beautiful trees so we could rest and cool down. Furrow and I walked to the lake edge, and if Furrow had been off leash, he would have jumped into the lake for a swim. We had a wonderful time at the Spring Blooms Celebration. When we were ready to go home, we caught the bus and both relaxed during the ride back home. I have attached four photos from this day:

  • The 1st photo is of Furrow at the entrance to the flower gardens.
  • The 2nd photo is of Furrow standing in front of an art display.
  • The 3rd photo is of Furrow investigating the jumbo-sized bird’s nest made for the kids to explore and have fun.
  • The 4th photo is of Furrow enjoying the shade at Deer Lake Park Blooms Celebration.

Later in May, I had to go to the local Emergency Room, where I spent 8 hours. I was fortunate to have Furrow right by my side to keep me company. He was a great companion, and his gentle presence made everyone’s day a little brighter. The last picture is of Furrow patiently waiting in the ER exam room with me.

I will be back at the end of June to share more exciting news about Furrow.

Hugs to all!
