Hi Friends,

During July, I did a lot of growing and lost a lot of teeth! I’ve also been learning so many things and having lots of new experiences.

I started off the month hanging out with my roomie, PADS Casper, as usual. I practiced my settling with him a lot and enjoyed so many play sessions with him! He’s an awesome mentor.

This month, I also had my first walk & talk! I went to Home Depot and showed my cohort trainer everything I’ve learned so far! I walked on different surfaces, up some stairs, heard loud noises, and did some settling. I did very well on my assessment!

I also went to stay with a sitter for a weekend and did very well with them! I’m always so good with new people and adjust quickly to a new environment.

This month, I also got to accompany my human to a PADS volunteer barbecue! I hung out with lots of puppies there, including my brother Blanco! It was a fun evening.

Blanco and I also got to go on a super fun outing to Build-A-Bear! We picked out our stuffies and stuffed them all on our own by stepping on the pedal for the fluffing machine! I got an adorable, cuddly teddy bear.

I then went on my biggest outing yet! I went on an airplane! I did super well accompanying my human through the airport and did some amazing settling on the plane! My raiser was very proud of me! I just slept through the flight and wasn’t scared at all by the landing. Such a good boy.

Now I’m on vacation with my raiser’s family! I also got a new puppy roomie here! His name is Koda and he’s a poodle, which means he has nice floofy ears and tail, which are very fun to grab while we play! We have quickly become besties and love playing and napping together.

While I’ve been staying in Manitoba, I got to visit my new buddy, PADS Orion II, an accredited facility dog who works at STARS! He showed me around his workplace, and we got to play with all his awesome toys! It was so much fun. I also got to meet PADS Gloucester, another accredited facility dog! We went to the dog park and had sooo much fun running around and playing. Maybe one day I’ll be an AFD like them!

My raiser has also been trying to teach me to enjoy water, both in a pool and a lake, but I’m still not too sure about it. But I’m learning to enjoy floating on the paddleboard! And I especially enjoy lounging in the sun!

August will bring some big adventures for me, so see you then for another update!
