August was a month full of adventures (and a little bit of babysitting duty for me)! I spent the first and last weeks of the month with sitters while my raisers were away, but in between, we squeezed in so many exciting things.
I got to go to the Sunshine Coast for the first time, which meant I got to ride the ferry—and wow, was I popular on board! Once we got there, I visited the lake and even rode in some boats. At first, I wasn’t too sure about the whole thing, but after a couple of days, I found my sea legs. Swimming, on the other hand… let’s just say it’s not my favourite. I gave it a few tries, but I preferred barking at my humans when they swam without me (rude!). Paddleboarding was more my style, but honestly, water just isn’t my thing.
The biggest highlight? My raisers got engaged on this trip—and I was there for the whole proposal! I lay down quietly the entire time like the very good girl I am. 💍🐕
Later in the month, I reunited with my siblings for our one-year birthday party at Robert Burnaby Park. We did an off-leash walk on a hot day and had a blast running around together. Since I’d finished my heat cycle in July, my brothers were extra interested in me (🙄 boys…). My raisers had to keep pulling them away!
All in all, August was a great month. I’m definitely calmer these days, but I’ve still got some puppy beans left to burn.
