Dear Family and Friends of Grant,
As Calvin and Hobbes would say… “the days are just packed”. It’s summertime, and we are enjoying the ease and excitement of the season. It’s not all fun and games, tho. Class has been productive, and we practise our skills when we go out and about. Grant was the perfect gentleman on the bus. We have watched the fireworks and have been to the farmers market, enjoyed the beach and shady parks. We were at the trestles this month, and Grant would sit down as the little people passed us on the trail. He gently acknowledged each of them who wanted to greet him. He is so handsome in stature and colour.
We take our extended morning breaks on the balcony to watch the deer go by or wait for the garbage truck. He reminds me daily to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. We have cuddles when we watch National Geographic on TV, and I am certain he is studying all the animal kingdom.
Grant had a visit with one of the PADS’ amazing sitters. She is such a highly trained handler that Grant got lots of opportunities to play with her dog and help with chores. It was like summer camp with horses and a large yard all for his entertainment. We appreciate the PADS community and the vest. When Grant is in uniform, he puts his job first.
