PADS welcomed Hudson II from National Service Dogs (NSD). Following his flight to Vancouver, he spent the first two weeks with his doggy bio dad Casper. Hudson went to Medical School classes (where he settled well and slept), wore winter clothes, and went to Campus Canine events.

In the second half of the month, he lived with Bazinga’s past raisers. Hudson experienced a slower pace and lots of safe off-leash & noodle walks in nature on Vancouver Island, which helped him to decompress. He went on BC Ferries, also had short, age-appropriate socialization opportunities at a lawyer’s office, chiropractor, optometrist, vet, etc and experienced small doses of the traffic, people, and dogs of condo living. He also joyfully experienced his first snow!

Hudson now has excellent physicality and strength, independent play skills, and body handling. We are working on all things baby puppy. His struggles that we are actively working on include: vocalizing a fair bit (including some barking), daytime kenneling, and exhibiting some fear of dogs. Hudson has a good understanding of ‘Nice’ and DMT.

He is a sweet boy, and it’s hard not to giggle when he steals a slipper and takes it to his bed! haha
