Hey everyone, it’s Jones here with my monthly update! April has been a fantastic month filled with training, community outings, and enjoying the beauty of spring.
In terms of training, I’ve been hard at work honing my skills in various tasks. From working on dog distraction to practicing going under objects, each training session brings new challenges and opportunities for growth.
But it hasn’t all been work – I’ve had some exciting adventures in the community too! One highlight was attending the West Kelowna Pickle Ball tournament, where they were raising funds to support our PADS program. It was a blast interacting with people and spreading awareness about the important work that assistance dogs do.
Another memorable outing was the Vaisakhi spring festival at the Okanagan Gurdwara in Kelowna. I had the pleasure of meeting lots of new faces and soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the festival. Watching the parade was definitely a highlight – so many colours and sounds to take in!
And let’s not forget about the joys of springtime. I’ve been relishing the mild weather and taking full advantage of it by going on hikes and exploring the great outdoors. Seeing all the spring wildflowers in bloom has been a real treat for the senses, and I’ve been loving every moment of it.
Thanks for following along on my journey, and here’s to more adventures in the months ahead!
