Hey everyone, Jones here with my July update. This month has been filled with celebrations, exciting news, and plenty of adventures, so let me fill you in on all the fun I’ve had.

I kicked off the month in style by celebrating Canada Day on July 1st. The weather was beautiful, and I had a fantastic time enjoying the festivities and soaking in the patriotic spirit.

As for my training, I’ve been working hard on all my skills, and guess what? I’ve been doing so well that I found out this month that I’m being promoted to advanced training. I’ll be heading to Burnaby on August 12th to continue my journey with PADS. I’m really looking forward to learning more advanced skills that I’ll be able to use to support someone in need in their day-to-day life. While I know my raisers will be sad to see me go, I’m determined to make them proud for all the hard work and love they’ve put into my training.

This month, my half-brother Texas and I got to spend an overnight visit before he headed off to Burnaby to start his advanced PADS training. We had such a blast together, playing and goofing around. It was great to have that time with him before we both moved on to the next stage of our training.

One of the highlights of the month was getting to see some seriously cool and expensive cars at the Dream Rally in Kelowna. The event combines the thrill of high-end cars with a focus on supporting and inspiring children facing challenges in their lives. It was amazing to be part of such a meaningful event.

I also ventured out to some new walking locations, including a lovely stroll along the waterfront promenade in Peachland. The views were stunning, and I enjoyed every moment of exploring new territory. And of course, I couldn’t let the month go by without getting out on the water. I had a great time paddle boarding on Okanagan Lake, which is one of my favourite activities. There’s nothing like the feeling of gliding over the water on a sunny day.

All in all, July was a fantastic month full of outdoor activities, new experiences, and the excitement of what’s to come. I’m optimistic about the future as I continue on my journey, and I can’t wait to see what August will bring.

Thanks for following along with me, and stay tuned for more updates as I move on to the next chapter in my training.
