Hey everyone, it’s Jones here with my monthly update! June has been a busy and eventful month, full of training, fun outings, and new experiences.

I’ve been working hard on my training, focusing on dog distraction, recall, and maintaining my duration for sit, stand, and down. One exciting milestone this month was my first outdoor class of the year – it was great to train in the fresh air and sunshine.

I also did my GD Barts testing this month, which was a big step in my training. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and look forward to continuing to improve.

One of the highlights of June was attending my second pride festival. I went to my first one last year, and this year was just as amazing. I met lots of new people and got to hang out with a few of my PADS buddies. The energy and positivity at the festival were infectious, and I had a blast.

I also had a unique outing this month when I went to the eye doctor with one of my raisers during their check-up. The good news is, I don’t need glasses, so all is well in the vision department.

Dining out was another fun part of June. I went out to dinner a couple of times with my raisers, and one of the restaurants had these massive stuffed bears. They were quite a sight! It was a good opportunity to practice my behaviour in busy environments.

My raisers attended a dog first aid course, and when they got home, I became their practice patient. They tried out some bandaging techniques on me, and I must say, I was a very patient patient.

That about sums up my June. I’m looking forward to July, with hopes of a little travelling and getting out on the lake. Thanks for following along on my journey, and see you next month.
