Kasota turned 6 months old this month; fortunately, she is still a puppy in many ways. She loves her time training and learning new skills, but she also loves being a puppy and playing with her toys and with other dogs. Kasotaβs highlight of the month was walking outside early one morning through the garage door and coming face to face with a bear in our driveway about 15 feet away. Kasota was on leash and remained very calm. The bear immediately decided that he should walk away. Kasota got a huge handful of high-value treats that morning for being able to stay calm and not overreact to a new and unfamiliar situation.Β
