Hi friends!
Lyriq here, back with another Pupdate! June has been such a big month for me—I’m growing so much and looking more like a teenager now. I even have moments where I show a bit of that teenager attitude, but don’t worry, I’m still a good girl at heart.
I’ve really been working hard on understanding the difference between being in vest and off-duty. When I’m in vest, I’m a total rockstar in public. My handlers are so proud of me!
This month has been packed with amazing outings. I got to go on a boat, which was so cool. The wind in my fur felt amazing! I also spent time socializing with kids, who are so much fun. I even attended a comedy show, where I practiced staying calm and quiet despite all the laughter. Plus, I went out for plenty of dinners in the city with my raisers. I made sure to be on my best behaviour and impressed everyone with my good manners.
I’ve also been learning some new cues this month, like “Car,” “Touch,” “Chin,” and “Wait.” I’m getting pretty good at them if I do say so myself. Another exciting first for me was swimming! I went for my first swim in both the ocean and a pool. At first, I wasn’t too sure about getting in, but once I was in the water, I loved it. Swimming is so much fun!
All in all, June has been an incredible month of growth, learning, and new experiences. I’m excited to see what July has in store for me. Thanks for following along on my journey!
