Hi friends, itโs me, Lyriq, back with my May update!
This month has felt like full-on summerโso much sunshine and even more time outside on the farm with my humans. Weโve been working on my settling skills in all kinds of different spaces and environments. Whether itโs the garden, the barn, or the shady spot under a tree, Iโm learning that calm can happen anywhere!
Big news: we got chickens! And guess what? Iโm so good with them. I never chase or barkโIโm calm, gentle, and respectful. My humans say Iโm a real farm pro now.
Another exciting thing happenedโmy human volunteered to fly a little puppy from the Whitecaps litter to Calgary to meet their new raisers. I got to spend the day with the puppy, and it was so fun. I even adjusted my play style to be extra gentle so the little one felt safe. We ended the day sharing my kennel for a cozy napโI didnโt mind at all.
Iโm getting closer to advanced training, so weโre still practicing all the important stuffโcalmness, focus, and being the best version of myself. Iโm pretty proud of the girl Iโm becoming.
