Wow, it sure is hot for Sept.

Speaking of β€˜hot dogs’, it was parent-orientation wiener roast and tour night at Carson Graham High School – Ryder Peeps just started there – and I got to go! So many kids and parents approached me because they wanted to brag about Carson’s 2 new PADS dogs. Many because they thought I was one of Diego or Aslan – who are yellow like me – but couldn’t figure out why they had shrunk. I was a celebrity doggelganger x 2! Turns out, I’m considered small! Weight loss successful…bula! I was very proud to be a PADS dog that day, especially when Diego’s person (she’s a school counsellor and teacher), told me and Chuck-peeps that the only reason one kid came back to school after they were so stressed in the first days, was because they were assured Diego would be there to greet them. It was only day 11 of the school year, and EVERYONE knew about the PADS dogs- by name! So many complimented me AND PADS – they all said I was beautiful and gazed at me – per usual, over the last 16 months. I think I look pretty normal and like all the other yellows, but they all seem to see something special in me.

Chuck peeps thought it was funny to take a snap of me sitting next to this sign that says Bad Dog Bread. It’s not the dog (me) that’s bad – she says it’s the carbs in the bread…, “It goes straight to [her] hips.”

I keep hearing people say β€œOh my…. DID I stick MY FOOT in my mouth! β€œAnd it sounds just like when peeps say β€œOh my… ISN’T that a cute PUPPY/KITTEN/BABY/ anything precocial-esque really. So, I tried it…I put my foot in my mouth. ….Meh….don’t taste the appeal.

We went to The Twilight Drive-in Movie Theatre! It was just about to close forever. Chuck-peeps walked me before the movie started – there were SO many other dogs out for their last constitutional, who came to see the Movie TOO! Even though it said β€œno dogs allowedβ€œ on the sign. It also said β€˜no outside food”, but they brought White Spot with them, and shared a bit of burger with me. Chuck-peeps says a favourite memory with their previous furry Gurls Seuss and Skoo, (consecutive), was taking them to the Drive-in. They watched the movie with them, but I preferred the pre-show snack, followed by a nap. Chuck-peeps wanted me to see the screen and take a snap for posterity – so here we are!

As far as my training – it’s going pretty good, however, I really don’t like when they put food right in front of me – and in this picture right on my paw too. I mean what in the world…who’d do that?! – just lay there with perfectly good food, RIGHT IN FRONT of them. I asked them with my look of query, but all they did was tell me, I’m a β€œgood dog” take back the food and then give it to me out of their hand…. whatever; must be in my contract under miscellaneous duties- I’ll check with my agent.

Ok, this is exciting; I hear a big exciting change is coming up for me. They mostly only β€œtalkβ€œ about it on text, but Chuck- peeps says the words out loud as she reads and types… she is weird that way- she can’t keep a secret- she still doesn’t realize I understand people words. She said something about β€œ finishing school” and Teri….in October. I like Teri’s house, that’s where I did my tryout to join a pack! I have a dog crush on the black dog that lives there …. ’Electra’ … oooh I love saying her name…Electra. Teri speaks dog fluently, and I can understand her much better than my current Peeps. I like knowing exactly what I’m expected to do and how, – I’m really looking forward to the change and my peeps live close by so the good-byes won’t be too hard….I’ll let you know how it goes.
