Spring should be upon us, but that is not the case in Calgary. We have had a whole winter’s worth of snow in one month, which suited Maren just fine. She loves to frolic in the snow, and got plenty of opportunity to do that this month.
On a playdate Maren had with PADS Chorcha and released PADS Astro and Blazer, a favourite toy went missing in the snow. Maren and I revisited the area every day for the next three days until the snow melted enough for the bright pink toy to surface. We were very excited to let Astro know that his toy had been found!
Maren and friends spent some off-leash time at Country Club Pet Resort. It was decided that a group photo would be taken because there was an agility feature that lent itself well to posing the dogs. You can imagine the chaos that ensued while six humans tried valiantly to pose nine active pups and have them stay put. The result was a lot of comedy with a few satisfactory photos.
We took Maren on her usual round of outings, which included walks to the library, grocery stores and coffee shops. She had a new experience this month when we took her with us to see a movie. Maren was a gem through the whole thing, and as a bonus, was very happy to accept the occasional popcorn treat for her good behaviour.
