Marni here to tell you about my amazing trip featuring planes, trains, automobiles, and even a boat!
Boy, did I have an exciting August! My hoomans took me on a huge trip, and it started by going on a plane. We were supposed to get some extra room so I would be more comfortable, but the plane got cancelled, and the new one was full, so I had to fit in a small space with one of my hoomans, my other hooman didn’t even get to sit with us. It was a long ride, but I stayed calm and quiet. WestJet staff were really nice and kept offering alcohol for my hooman, but my hooman had to refuse because she was taking care of me.
When we finally landed in a place called Toronto, we were at the airport for a very long time as the airline lost our luggage. Luckily, my hoomans had an extra bag of treats for the afternoon. We then took a car, I think they are called Ubers, to a place called a train station. It was very busy, but I was very good and attentive to my hoomans. When we got to the platform, we were loaded first on the train, which had a lot more room. My hoomans had a special code for service dogs that was required by Via Rail for me to also be able to travel with my hoomans.
Once we got to our destination, it was very late at night, and I was pooped (and pooped 💩). The next day we went out to buy more food as the luggage had still not been found and went shopping for hooman clothes and such. WestJet was really nice and offered to pay for the out-of-pocket expenses. Afterwards, I got fed, and then we went to a farm by car. I met so many of my hooman’s family, who all loved me! I even got to meet some horses and other doggies; they were big, but I liked them.
On one of our last days of the trip, I got to go on a HUGE ship! It was very big, and I think they called it a ferry. It was fun, I got to go to the top deck and feel the wind and see the water.
It was finally time to come home, and we left the small city we were in. The nice ladies on the plane gave my hoomans and me the whole row so I would have room. It was a much nicer plane ride home, and I slept the whole way back!
What a trip I had! So much fun, doing new things and meeting new people and animals!
