Marshβs Marvellous month of January
Happy New Year everyone. We all stayed up until after midnight on New Yearβs Eve, and the kids had an outdoor fire pit lit in the garden. It was very dark, so I wore my lit-up collar, which kept me visible. My boy decided to donate blood this month, a first-time donor, and he was very brave. I watched from a distance, and he appreciated that. My raiser told me that we had some very important things to work on this month, and one of them was to have some play dates. Tay came over, and she was great at playing chase. Then we went to some small dog parks and met some new dogs and I played chase with them, and I was very well-behaved. At the dyke, I wasnβt listening well, and I went to say hi to some dogs and didnβt want to go back to my raiser, but she lured me away, and we carried on. My super sniffer challenges my raiser, and in my neighbourhood, Iβm much better at not sniffing until told, but when I go somewhere new, I sometimes just canβt help myself.
In Whiterock, the seaside smells were a bit much, and so weβre going to go back another day and work on that. Other outings took me to the mall for some dog distraction training, the library visit allowed me to do nothing for a while, but to watch the children come and go, and at church, I was a good boy and lay quietly for the service.
One of my human friends took us to Peaked Pies, and I had to watch them slurp hot chocolate. Peaked Pies is sponsoring a puppy named Chickpea, and I met her, and sheβs cute. At the end of the month, I was taken to the vet, and they drugged me up. Once awake, part of me was missing, and I didnβt feel good. Now, I get to rest for a few weeks. My raiser has been taking some special photos, because next month, Iβm going to Advanced Training. It sounds super fun, and Iβm excited about it.
