Hi,
The month started with meeting some PADS friends. One training was at IKEA, another was with a big group at Lougheed Mall, where I practiced my down duration with distance & distraction. I was in the middle of a big circle, and all the blondes were around me. Not only did it look cool, but I also kept my cool.
We went on different walks with PADS friends. The best and really exciting one was with my grandma!! We had a nice walk, then some fun off-leash; I sure look like her.
The Easter Bunny came, and I got to go on an Easter egg hunt. I found kibble all over the house, which led me to a new stuffed toy; lucky me.
Mom & dad went away for a couple of days, I stayed with sitters Carrie & Darren, and of course, my buddy Sprout. I always have fun with them.
Now this was all great, what isn’t great is that I have a really hard time settling. Mom talked to our trainer, who gave her a training plan. Sadly, that plan does not include public outings. We’re working on me settling in different areas of the house. Mom says this is hard for her, too; I guess that’s where I get it from.
We’ve been to the cabin a bit; it’s always fun there, and I’ve had some nice off-leash walks. Mom says I have “rocket recall”.
We will continue working on our settling, so next month I can start training in public again.
Hugs,
Meadow
