Happy Holidays!
December started off with meeting PADS Libby & Andie for a walk, then some settling while the raisers had coffee. This was mom’s last training opportunity with me before she & dad went to Mexico.
We walked around Lafarge Lake to see all the beautiful lights. It was chilly, so I wore my Christmas dress to keep me warm. The lights were beautiful, and mom said it was the best display yet. I have to say, it was pretty amazing.
I was with sitters Carrie & Darren with their released PADS dog Sprout, who I LOVE. Here’s what they had to say:
“Meadow had a fun-filled December and even got to ride the gondola and play in the snow at Grouse Mountain! There was a lot of shopping and meeting friends for coffee, and even a wonderful class party organized by Nicole. While her raisers were away, Meadow slipped into a temporary new routine with a sitter and her friend, released PADS Sprout.
She brought human cookies and Christmas joy to a workplace, and was on her best behaviour while her raisers were away.
The rain provided opportunities to play in mud puddles, which resulted in a trip to Bosleys for some fancy shampoo, a new “spritzer”, and some fluffing with the hair dryer.”
Mom & dad got home, and a couple of days later, we had Christmas with my human siblings and my cousin Berkeley, who doesn’t really like me. I kept my distance from him. Santa was good to me cause I’ve been a very good girl. Christmas is a social time, not just for mom & dad. I went for a couple of fun walks with PADS Pixie & one with PADS Myra; it was good for emptying my bucket.
We went to the cabin, which we hadn’t been to for a while, we did a little grocery shopping, and went out for lunch; it’s good practice for me, learning to settle, which I did beautifully.
Mom & dad let me stay up till midnight to ring in the New Year at home. Happy 2026, I’m looking forward to more adventures and training, of course.
Hugs,
Meadow
