Great news, I got my “get out of jail free card”, my heat ended, I’m allowed out in public again! My first outing was to dad’s physio appointment, which happened to be on dad’s birthday. Mom & I said hi to the people in the office, then went for a walk till dad was finished. As we came out of the trail, a bear casually walked very close to us. I stayed calm, cool, and collected.

This month’s outings were Coquitlam Centre, where there were 8 of us pups, and boy, did we attract some attention. There were all ages, from little puppies to an advanced dog. Some of us went for coffee after; it was a good opportunity for us dogs to settle.

On Thanksgiving, a group of us met at Buntzen Lake, it was chilly, us dogs didn’t care and ran around. I got to run with my friend, PADS Mickey.

I went to Douglas College for the day; they have a vet tech program, and they like to practice on PADS dogs. They told mom I was a good girl.

We had an in-person class earlier this month, and our Halloween party at the end of the month. I was a “Meadow” of flowers, and mom was my honey bee. There were some great costumes, and we played a couple of games, then the adults got to socialize and have snacks.

Mom & I went to PADS to meet some people who were helping clean up outside. Mom said it was a good opportunity for me to “go say hi”, we’ve been working on that a lot lately.

We went to the cabin, the Blue Jays were playing, and we watched the game at our friend’s house. Dad went to L.A. to watch the Jays play, lucky guy, so mom & I went to Gibsons to visit a friend, it was my first time on a ferry. It was a quick ferry ride, and I did good.

We had a couple of walks and coffee dates, the paint store, pet store, and a trip to Fairhaven; check out the weird guy sitting beside mom.

I experienced my 1st Halloween. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain, so we didn’t have many kids. I stayed on my bed when they came to the door, another chance to work on “bed”.

November is an exciting month, it’ll be my 1st birthday, I sure hope there’ll be a party and I can see some of my siblings.

Hugs,
Meadow
