This month marked one whole year with my raisers! To cap off our first year together, I dove into some brand-new adventures that made this month unforgettable.

First up: camping! I discovered my love for the great outdoors and slept in a pop-up crate inside a tent for the very first time. I made friends with the other campground dogs, floated on a party island in the lake, and even got back on the paddleboard (and didn’t puke on the human this time). I’ve officially mastered the doggy paddle and have become a much more confident swimmer.

Next stop: Galiano Island. It was my first time riding a big ferry, and I got lots of compliments for my good manners—waiting patiently in the cafeteria line and snoozing under the table while the humans ate. The rest of the trip was pure bliss: beach explorations, ocean swims, sun-soaked lounging, and scenic hikes. Total doggy paradise.

We wrapped up the month with a weekend in Whistler, where I navigated the bustling village full of people, kids, and dogs. I settled beautifully at every restaurant, café, and pit stop the humans made. And don’t worry—it wasn’t all work! I got to splash around at the doggy beach and swim in the lake.

Throughout it all, my raisers were so proud of how confidently I adapted to new sleeping spots, embraced unfamiliar experiences, and settled in tons of new places while in cape. I’ve come a long way in a year!

Other highlights this month included attending a Cops for Cancer fundraiser, strolling through Car Free Day in Port Moody, spending the day with PADS Patty, and enjoying off-leash walks with Indy, Mario, and Minnie.
