May was a month packed with adventure! It all started with a lively meet-up at Buntzen Lake Dog Beach, where I joined eight other PADS pups for a fun-filled morning. It was a full-on lab party, with plenty of splashing, chasing, and joyful running in and out of the water.

My raisers have been busy training for a race next month, so I’ve been tagging along to running stores, supervising shoe try-ons, and even accompanying them to physio appointments. I’m too young to join them on training runs, but I don’t mind—I get to stay back with a delicious Kong in my crate. One time, I even got to hang out with PADS Falkor while my raisers went for a long run. We had a blast playing and practicing settling around each other, and he was kind enough to let me splash around in his pool!

I also got to experience a baseball game and revisited the driving range for the first time since I was a young pup. I settled in well, demonstrating an excellent ‘go in’ under the bench while observing the humans repeatedly hit a tiny ball without retrieving it! Strange behaviour, indeed.

Other highlights included visiting sitter Jo and romping around with PADS Meadow and PADS Windsor. Running around the yard with them was a blast, making for the perfect warm-up to my stay with Jo at the end of the month. She introduced me to horses, which I handled wonderfully, and we explored Krause Berry Farms together. She also took some fab photos of me (some included in this update!). I had an amazing time and can’t wait to go back!

All in all, I hear I’m maturing into a great pup. My raisers now confidently take me everywhere they go, knowing I’ve become much more reliable in my skills, attention, and ability to settle.
