Minnie has had a busy month!
She attended the PADS events at Lululemon, where she charmed the staff and settled beautifully with her fellow puppies in training between greetings.
Minnie the Mentor is her unofficial title amongst many of the young puppies in training on the North Shore. She models the behaviours we want all of our pups to develop, using her calm, sweet temperament.
These youngsters have accompanied us to restaurants, shopping malls, Scotiabarn, Shipyards Christmas Market, skating rink, and pier, working on durations, position changes, and loose-leash walking, all in high distraction.
Training does not always look like training. On her days off from the public, we take to the woods, between the rambunctious trail and field play, we still practice durations and nice manners around people and the dogs we share the trails with.
