July ended up being a low-key month for Myra for a couple of reasons. First off, she went into heat. She’s a proper little lady now, and I really need to stop calling her ‘Baby’ (LOL). And then I went ahead and got injured, so outings and walks really came to a standstill! But that did open up opportunities for extra training sessions at home, which is always well-received. Her ‘heel’ and ‘side’ cues are becoming so much more fluent, and she is working hard on increasing her durations for her ‘sit/stand/down’ cues as well. She still is very hesitant in putting her cape on, but is showing improvement with regular fun training games to help her through this. Myra is looking like a great little prospect, and we are super excited to see how her training progresses.
The summer heat hasn’t got this girl down, as she has discovered her love of kiddie pools! Splishing, splashing, digging and dunking her face are all entertaining for her (and me). And like any young kidlet – she is learning that you have to pee outside the pool…. not in it. She’s such a goofy girl!!!
