This was a month of change for Morley. This is his first full month of being a ‘big brother’ to PADS Shah. They have become quick friends and can often be found wrestling or stealing toys from each other. Morley’s best friend, PADS Teddy, left towards the end of the month for Advanced Training. We all miss him! With Teddy’s departure, PADS Bruno came back while awaiting a client match. Having the second, third and fourth puppies I have raised all together has been amazing.
Training-wise, we continue to polish up ‘heel’ and ‘side’. Morley struggles to transfer these behaviours without a leash, even though there is no leash pressure when wearing one. Using a cone to help shape this behaviour has helped put this together for him. We continue to work on rear foot targeting with increased distance and on different surfaces.
He is maturing into such a lovely guy! This coming month, we are volunteering at the Willow Park Charity Golf Tournament, where Morley will get to show off his great personality.
