Nevada made some changes to his future career this month! He has been struggling with the skill of retrieving since entering Advanced Training. This is a very important skill that requires a great deal of confidence and persistence to achieve good mobility in a dog. Nevada has felt conflicted about this skill and has shown us that he’d prefer a job that doesn’t require a great deal of retrieval. So he has switched to the PTSD Service Dog stream and is making tremendous progress!
The Advanced Training staff are always working hard to place dogs in roles that they will find most enjoyable and rewarding. For Nevada, that appears to be his new path as a PTSD Service Dog.
