We’ve got some exciting news about Nevada! This month, Nevada embarked on a new chapter of his journey by living in with his new raisers. The transition wasn’t entirely smooth, as Nevada spent the first two weeks recovering from an illness. However, despite his initial confinement indoors, he managed to make the most of his time.
One of the highlights of Nevada’s month was a trip to the beach with his half-brother, Cashew. They had a blast playing in the sand and water. Nevada also explored off-leash in forest trails with Nessa, a dog thatβs graduated and working as an accredited facility dog
In addition to his outdoor adventures, Nevada attended numerous meetings with his new raiser, where he diligently worked on settling quietly, an essential skill for a future service dog. These experiences are crucial for his development into a well-rounded and reliable companion.
But it wasn’t all work and no play for Nevada! He enjoyed plenty of fun activities that helped him bond with his new raiser. These moments of connection and trust-building are essential as he progresses on his journey to becoming a service dog.
