Patty’s raisers were away for two weeks in March on a family visit, so she was with a puppy sitter named Shelley. As she was still recovering from dental surgery, Patty was restricted to mushy kibble and no chew toys for the first three days. Once this ended, she gleefully attacked her braided fleece tug, which became her favourite toy.
The best part of the sit for Patty was running free in Shelley’s large backyard. As her raisers live in an apartment, this was a new experience. The heavy rainfall and muddy puddles didn’t dampen (pun intended) her enthusiasm. She also got lots of practice on stairs, short car rides and visits to the nearby dog park.
